Al Quran Juz 29 – A Simple and Easy Explanation
Juz 29 of the Holy Quran is filled with short and powerful Surahs. It includes 11 Surahs, starting from Surah Al-Mulk and ending with Surah Al-Mursalat.
This Juz talks about:

1. Surah Al-Mulk – Allah’s Power

2. Surah Al-Qalam – The Pen
- Allah defends the Prophet ﷺ from the accusations of disbelievers.
- Story of the people of the garden who refused to share with the poor.
“Indeed, your Lord knows best who has strayed from His path.” (68:7)
3. Surah Al-Haqqah – The Sure Reality
- Describes the Day of Judgment in detail.
- People will be shown their records: those who receive it in the right hand will rejoice.
4. Surah Al-Ma’arij – The Ascending Stairways
- Describes the punishment for disbelievers.
- Encourages patience and prayer for believers.
5. Surah Nuh – The Story of Prophet Nuh (A.S.)
- Nuh (A.S.) preached for 950 years but people denied him.
- He asked Allah to save him and punish the wrongdoers.
6. Surah Al-Jinn – The World of Jinn
- Some Jinn accepted Islam after hearing the Quran.
- Jinn are also responsible for their actions and will be judged.
7. Surah Al-Muzzammil – Night Prayer
- Allah commands the Prophet ﷺ to pray at night and be patient.
“Indeed, the rising by night is very hard but most effective for speech and prayer.” (73:6)
8. Surah Al-Muddathir – Warn the People
- The Prophet ﷺ is told to warn people and keep his character clean.
- Description of Hellfire (Saqar) and its punishment.
9. Surah Al-Qiyamah – The Day of Resurrection
- Describes how people will be raised again.
- Some will regret their actions, but it will be too late.
“Does man think he will be left alone without purpose?” (75:36)
10. Surah Al-Insan – The Human Being
- Allah created humans and gave them choice.
- Describes the rewards for the pious in Paradise.
“Indeed, the righteous will drink from a cup whose mixture is of Kafur.” (76:5)
11. Surah Al-Mursalat – The Winds Sent Forth
- A strong warning about the Day of Judgment.
- Repeats: “Woe that Day to the deniers.” — a reminder to reflect and repent.
