Al Quran Juz 11 – A Simple and Easy Explanation

Juz 11 (Para 11) of the Holy Quran continues Surah Al-A’raf from verse 88 and goes until verse 206 (the end of the Surah). It also begins Surah Al-Anfal and continues up to verse 40. This Juz is filled with the stories of Prophets, the results of rejecting the truth, and lessons about victory, patience, and obedience.

Surah Al-A’raf (Verses 88–206)

Continuation of Stories of Prophets

1. Prophet Shu’ayb (A.S.)

• He invited his people (the people of Madyan) to stop cheating in business and be honest.
• His people rejected him and were punished by a mighty earthquake.

2. Musa (A.S.) and Pharaoh

• Musa (A.S.) showed many signs and miracles, but Pharaoh was arrogant.
• Allah saved Musa and the Bani Israel, and Pharaoh and his army drowned.

3. Bani Israel’s Disobedience

• Even after being saved, many of them disobeyed Allah.
• Allah warned them not to break His commandments, like what happened with the people of the Sabbath who were turned into apes for disobeying.

Key Lessons:

• Don’t be proud like Pharaoh.
• Follow the truth even when it’s hard.
• Cheating, lying, and disobedience lead to destruction.

Ending of Surah Al-A’raf

At the end of this Surah, Allah tells us:

• To forgive others, be kind, and stay away from ignorance.
• That the Quran should be listened to silently, so we can reflect and learn.
• To remember Allah often, especially in the morning and evening.

“And remember your Lord within yourself… morning and evening, and do not be among the heedless.” (7:205)

Surah Al-Anfal (Verses 1–40)

Surah Al-Anfal means “The Spoils of War”. It was revealed after the Battle of Badr, the first major battle between the Muslims and Quraysh.Main Topics:

1. Victory Comes from Allah

• Muslims were few and weak, but Allah gave them victory because of their faith and unity.

2. Obey Allah and His Messenger ﷺ

“O you who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not turn away from him while you hear [his command].” (8:20)

3. Avoid Fighting Among Yourselves

• Unity is a key to success. Internal fights weaken the Ummah.

4. Battle Rules and Rewards

• The spoils (war gains) should be divided fairly.
• Those who fight for the sake of Allah will be rewarded.

5. Disbelievers Will Not Escape

• Allah reminds the enemies of Islam that no matter how powerful they seem, they can’t escape His punishment if they continue rejecting the truth.
