Al Quran Juz 08 – A Simple and Easy Explanation
Juz 08 (Para 8) of the Holy Quran continues Surah Al-Ma’idah and starts Surah Al-An’am. This Juz highlights themes such as obeying Allah’s laws, the mission of the Prophets, the difference between right and wrong, and belief in the unseen.
Let’s go through the key messages of this Juz in simple and easy language.
End of Surah Al-Ma’idah (Verses 82–120)
This part of Surah Al-Ma’idah talks about people who are close to Islam and about an important story related to Prophet Isa (A.S.) – Jesus (peace be upon him).
Important Messages:
- Christians Closer to Muslims in Heart
Allah mentions that some Christians, especially priests and monks, are humble and kind. They recognize the truth of Islam and accept it with tears in their eyes.
“…You will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, ‘We are Christians.’” (5:82)
- The Story of the Heavenly Table (Al-Ma’idah)
The disciples of Isa (A.S.) asked for a table of food from the sky as a miracle. Allah sent it but warned that if they disbelieved afterward, there would be punishment. - Prophet Isa (A.S.)’s Reply on the Day of Judgment
Allah will ask Isa (A.S.) if he told people to worship him. Isa (A.S.) will reply that he only told them to worship Allah alone, not him or his mother.
Beginning of Surah Al-An’am (Verses 1–110)
Surah Al-An’am (The Cattle) is a Makki Surah revealed in Makkah. It strongly emphasizes Tawheed (Oneness of Allah) and responds to those who denied the truth.
Key Teachings:
- Allah is the Creator of All Things
Allah created the heavens, the earth, day, night, sun, moon, and all living things. Only He deserves to be worshipped. - False Gods Have No Power
The Quran warns against worshipping idols or false gods who cannot hear, speak, or help. - Life is a Test
This world is temporary. People who disbelieve may enjoy it now, but they will face the truth in the Hereafter. - Signs of Allah Are Everywhere
Allah tells us to look at the animals, the skies, the stars, the crops—all of them show Allah’s power and signs. - The Role of Prophets
The mission of every Prophet is to guide people to Allah. They cannot force people to believe, but they show the right path.
“Indeed, messengers were denied before you, but they were patient…” (6:34)
Important Lessons from Juz 08
- Be kind and fair to people of other religions, especially those who are humble and sincere.
- Miracles are signs from Allah, not for entertainment.
- Worship Allah alone; He is the only one worthy of worship.
- Look at nature and think—it will help you believe in Allah.
- Stay away from false gods and follow the message of the Prophets.
Conclusion
Juz 08 teaches us the importance of Tawheed, belief in Allah’s signs, and following the guidance of the Prophets. It also shows that Allah is merciful but strict in justice. Our duty is to obey Him, worship Him alone, and live a life of truth and righteousness. You Can Read Al Quran Juz 07
